This unusual shaped vase has never been featured in any Belleek Catalogue and it is difficult to know exactly when it was first designed. The shell pattern on the vase is similar in style to the Tridacna pattern, and may date as early as the 1870s. Belleek is fortunate to have kept an Archive of most of the designs; one of the earliest is dated September 1867! H 5 1/2"
